About Five Man Job: Five Man Job formed in 2001 and has been a fixture of the Minneapolis and national improvisation community ever since. Five Man Job energized the local improv scene by producing the smash hit show, the Improv A Go Go (which celebrates its fifth anniversary show May 20th) as a showcase of improvisation of all styles and hub of the rapidly growing local improv community.
Members of Five Man Job appear on the Brave New Workshop stage, and have received rave reviews at improv festivals across the country including Atlanta, Miami, Los Angeles, San Francisco, and several appearances at the Chicago Improv Festival. By organizing the Twin Cities Improv Festival, they hope to focus attention on their hometown . To this end they teamed with the Onion, a natural fit for improv comedy, and the Brave New Workshop to showcase local improv groups at the nation’s oldest comedy theatre.
"The Minneapolis scene is really cool and recognized by people in improv circles in other cities, but here at home it’s one of our best kept secrets. We’re hoping to change that." - Butch Roy, Five Man Job
